This week’s prayer requests

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

-Be in prayer for open hearts this Advent season. Ask God for awareness of the things that occupy our time and attention and for help in setting them aside to make room for Him. Pray for true peace: peace that only comes from Christ’s presence in our lives.

-Pray for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Pray that they are surrounded by the support of friends, family, and community. Pray that they take comfort and hope in remembering the One who came as a babe to “take up our pain and bear our suffering” - Emmanuel, God with us. (Isaiah 53:4)

-Lift up all who feel overwhelmed and stressed this Christmas season. Pray for peace, joy and hope to be found in the little blessings and in the One from whom all blessings flow.

-Continue to pray for those in our community who face ongoing difficulties and struggles. Pray they have the capacity to endure and wait on the Lord, to be strong and hope in the Lord, their ever-present help. Pray that they remember that the Lord is their Shepherd and in Him they have everything they need.

-Pray for our ministry partners - Florecer, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Campus Ministry, and Love Your Neighbor - as they work to share the love of Christ and build disciples.
