This week’s prayer requests
Romans 8:26 "And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words."
- Praise God for the leaders in our church and for the times of planning, testimony, and goal setting they have had. Ask the Holy Spirit to enrich their leadership skills as they work towards the plans God has for Alive.
- Lift up all those who are struggling with health issues of any kind, whether it be physical, emotional, or mental. Ask for complete healing and relief from pain. Pray that God will bring them peace, take away fear, and provide for all their needs along the way.
- Praise God for the safety of all those who were travelling over the holiday weekend and ask for continued safety throughout the summer months. Ask that He will bless all the times spent with family and friends.
- Thank God for the glorious summery weather and pray for just the right amount of rain to care for all the crops and gardens to come to full harvest in abundance. Ask God for protection of both the crops and those who plant and harvest.
- Please pray for all our partners in mission. Summer months can be lean with monetary support. Ask God to prompt us to give when we can and to bless our partners with prayers for provision.
- Pray for the CRC Synod that meets in a few weeks, that the conversations and decisions that will happen in that space will be sound and God glorifying. Pray for unity, for the strength of the church and the foundations it stands on.
- Keep praying for our friends who have lost loved ones, for provision as they grieve and mourn, for friends to support them and to help them as they move forward in life.
- Pray for healthy marriages and family relationships. Pray for signs of hope as relationships heal and for patience in the waiting.
- Praise God for the freedoms we experience living in this country. Thank Him for those who have given their lives, who are currently fighting, and for the families left behind or who are waiting for a safe return. Thank God for the preservation of our freedom.
- Praise God for his involvement in the leadership of our country. Ask that He will use whoever is in a leadership role for His purposes, for good.
- Pray for all those people caught in the wars around the world, for the families living in fear, who have lost their homes or family members, and for those who are suffering. Ask that God will save them, protect them and provide for them. Ask that God will end the conflict in the Middle East, that He will step in and heal the relationships between the nations, and bring peace and prosperity back. Thank Him for the work He is doing that we can't see.
Phil. 2:13 God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him.
