This week’s prayer requests
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:8-12)
-Pray for hearts that ache like Jesus’, for compassion to drive us to share the gospel in our communities. In a world full of people searching in the darkness, may we shine the light of hope, truth and love. Pray for the Spirit to fill us and give us the strength and courage to step up and be on mission in all that we do.
-Praise God for the gift it is to share in the Lord’s Supper together! In the coming days, pray for the Holy Spirit to equip us, that our words and actions each day become a living sacrifice proclaiming the Lord’s death and resurrection until he comes again.
-With glad hearts, thank God for the children of Alive! Pray a blessing over them as they learn and grow, and pray with boldness for an outpouring of volunteers to teach, guide, and care for our children in Kids Alive and Nursery.
-Give thanks for the generous contributions to the JPS backpack drive. Pray for each child who will receive a backpack, and pray for the homes and parents each student represents. Pray for good resources, for peace, and for each family to see God’s goodness and grace through the backpacks & supplies.
-Be in prayer for Janet Boehm’s daughter, who is battling an infection following surgery. Pray for full and complete healing so that her cancer treatment can begin. Lift up all who have recently undergone medical treatment or are in recovery. Pray for freedom from anxiety, pain relief, and full restoration to health.
-Continue to pray for the Leadership Transition Team as they meet with Alive's staff and leadership. Pray for a God-given, clear path forward. Pray for Spirit-given wisdom and discernment for each member of the team.
