This week’s prayer requests
Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; talk of all His wondrous works! ( I Chronicles 16:8-9)
- Praise God for the rain He gifted us with this past week, for the relief it brought and the qualities it has given to the Earth.
- Thank God for the protection He gives us and those we love, who are travelling this summer, who are enjoying His plentiful lakes and streams, and for those who are in the sun working.
- Please ask for continued blessing on our children as they continue on their summer break. Ask for blessing upon their teachers and all those whose hands are involved in their educations; that they will be refreshed and renewed during the summer months.
- Continue to pray for those who are grieving losses of any kind, loved ones, jobs, and dreams that have been shattered. May they be provided for in every way for every need and that God will bring them joy and hope again.
- Please keep praying for an uneventful and complete recovery for Denise Stam after shoulder surgery and all others who may be recovering from things that we don't know about. For those who are in pain and feeling hopeless, for those who are suffering in silence and for those who ache from loneliness, pray for God, our Master Healer, to wrap His arms around them and to send help.
- Ask God to show us where we can step into the gap and be His hands and feet. Pray that we will be prompted and led to those He is drawing to Himself. Pray that our own fears and self-consciousness will be dwarfed by our trust in Christ.
- Praise God for what He has done, and is doing, in the efforts to call a pastor to Alive in the next months. Ask Him to continue to lead and guide the steps being put into place in miraculous ways and to prepare our next pastor for the leadership that God knows we need.
From Pocket Prayers by Max Lucado with Andrea Lucado -
"Father, you are so worthy of it all -- my attention, praise, worship, and love. Your works are amazing, beyond anything I can even express. Help me be a light that shines toward you today. It is often hard for me to stand out from the world and be different. Give me the courage to make your goodness known and to never be ashamed. I thank you for your wonderful works and all that you have done and will do. In the glorious name of Jesus Christ, amen."
