This week’s prayer requests
Ps. 106:1 "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."
- Thank God for the freedom to worship out in the open each Sunday, for the treasure His Word is, and for the inspired words that are taught.
- Ask God to give us an outward focus as we do our day to day, in community, with family and friends. Ask Him to prepare us to be ready to share His message with those He's been preparing to hear it. Pray to have a willingness to engage in others' lives; to be a witness with words and actions.
- Thank God for the leaders at Alive, our board, council, staff and volunteers. Ask for a cohesive mindset to carry out their callings effectively. Pray for new ideas; for courage and trust to do new things. Ask that God be in the midst of the vision for the future of Alive and as it's put down on paper, that He would give us an excitement and encouragement for what He has in store for us.
- Pray with gratitude for all the students and teachers entering a new year. Pray for calm hearts and minds, that schedules will fall into place, for a community that will encourage. If it's a new school or classroom, pray for a quick, natural sense of belonging and for God's protective angels around each building.
- Continue to thank God for His abiding, loving, healing care of all those who are suffering for any reason, be it loss of a loved one, loss of health, loss of friends, loss of a job or estrangement in family groups. Ask the Lord to bring comfort and complete healing for those recovering from falls or surgeries or depression.
- Pray for the leadership in the nations of the world, that where there is strife God would bring harmony, that where there is discord, God would bring understanding and good communication.

No mountain is too high for God to move. No wound is too deep for His healing touch. Trust in His timing, lean on His strength, and believe that He is at work in ways far beyond what you can see. Your faith, however small, is enough. Because it is placed in a God who is more than enough.
