This week’s prayer requests
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16-17)
-Pray for hearts aligned with God’s heart. Pray that we would be willing to let go of our advantages and prioritize the needs of others, that in all our attitudes and actions we love and serve others for the sake of the gospel.
-Lift up those who are undergoing medical procedures or who are healing from medical procedures. Pray for nerves to be calmed, for good outcomes, and for minimal discomfort in recovery.
-Pray for those in our community walking through difficult seasons: those carrying heavy burdens, those feeling weighed down by the chaos of the world, those mourning, those battling depression or anxiety. Pray that God will cover their hearts and minds with peace that passes understanding.
-Continue to pray for the Leadership Transition Team and the listening sessions. Pray for good participation and for the listening sessions to be a safe space for all to share their thoughts and vision for Alive’s future. Pray for the Transition Team as they compile what’s been shared at the sessions and begin to form possible paths moving forward.
-Pray that God would be in all the details of Alive’s Summer Family Picnic: for good weather, for each volunteer and the role they’ll play, for a great time of fun and fellowship. Praise God for our wonderful community and the love between us!
