This week’s prayer requests
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. --Exodus 14:14
- Being so thankful for the days of rain and cooler weather, pray for those who are dealing with intense heat, flooding, and fires. Ask that God send relief and help.
- Thank God for His creation and the beauty that surrounds us and the complex systems He has put in place to make it all work.
- Pray for our pastors and their leadership. Ask for their good health and protection for them and their families. Thank God for the guidance He gives them.
- Ask for God's blessing over our students and teachers as they begin a new school year. Ask that it starts with excitement, positivity, and security.
- Pray for the new year start-ups at Alive just around the corner. Ask that God prompt hearts toward learning and being involved.
- Praise God for His care of all those who are dealing with issues beyond their control and ask for His continuing care and keeping. Lift up those who are recovering from accidents and recovering from surgeries.
- Pray for thoughtful, encouraging words from people who are near to those feeling the loss of someone they love. Ask that they'll feel the steady, abiding care of a God who sees.
- Praise God for weddings and babies and ask for His blessings on all those new beginnings.
- Ask that God supply, as only He can, as we look ahead to the promise of a harvest. Remember the parts of our country where adverse weather has wreaked havoc on plants and livelihoods and thank Him for His provision. Ask that He will protect and supply in His usual faithful fashion.
