This week’s prayer requests

“Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:3-5

-As we step into the new year and reflect on the old, pray for trust in God’s plans and place the year ahead into His hands. Praise him for his goodness and faithfulness, for being with us through life’s ups and downs. Pray for hearts eager to dive deep into God’s Word and receptive to the gospel truths there.

-Be in prayer to see others as God does: new creations in Christ. Pray that this truth - that we are citizens of heaven - will bind us together in unity as we act as Christ’s ambassadors here on earth. Pray for peace in our hearts and homes, between nations, that hostilities will cease.

-Pray healing over Mel VanderBie: for a miracle, for no more cancer. Pray against any sickness during this cold and flu season. Pray for relief from any negative side effects from his treatment.

-Uphold our pastors, council, board, staff, and one another in prayer. Ask God to lead and guide us as we serve in His name, that our actions will show His love and grace in a world badly in need of hope.
