SUNDAYS

THE JOURNEY
Leader: Terry Scholten
Meets every other Sunday at 11:15 am in the Student Center
Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges, and Reformed by Robert De Moor 

The Journey (Growing a relationship with Jesus is a true journey; to not only know about him, but to have a real relationship with him and being in his Word. This journey will use Bridges' book and the CRC book -- "Reformed" to develop a relationship through a reformed perspective. One of the outcomes will be a readiness to make a public profession of faith. Pre-reading is expected. Group time is casual and conversational.

 

YOUNG FAMILIES SMALL GROUP

Meets every other Sunday at 4 pm in homes; child care on-site
Elijah by Priscilla Shirer

This year we are working through a study of Elijah by Priscilla Shirer. After our bible study, we enjoy a time of fellowship by sharing a meal.

 

YOUNG ADULTS SMALL GROUP

Discover Your Gifts by Alvin J. Vander Griend

A group of Young Adults, dating, engaged, married with a little one, we have it all. We meet once a month ( as of now ) on Sunday at 6:00 in our home . We have a time of Bible study, discussion, prayer, then a time of fellowship over a light dinner .

 

JENISON SMALL GROUP
Leaders: Cheryl & Jerry Glashower, Anita & Bob Huizenga
Meets every other Sunday at 6:30 pm in homes
Celebrating Jesus in the Biblical Feasts by Dr. Richard Booker

The Glashower-Huizenga small group is co-led by Jerry and Cheryl Glashower and Bob and Anita Huizenga. We meet every other Sunday evening at 6:30 for six sessions in the fall and six sessions again late winter. Our group uses a Biblically-related study guide that we discuss at our get togethers.

 

JAMESTOWN SMALL GROUP

Goliath Must Fall by Louie Giglio

The Jamestown Small Group is a small group focused on fellowship; Bible study and discussion; and prayer for one another and the church.  We meet at the VanDenBosch's home in Jamestown. This winter we will be finishing our Goliath Must Fall series, then studying some of the names of God.

MONDAY EVENING ADULT SMALL GROUP

Meets every Monday, 7–8 pm at Alive
That the World May Know Video Series by Ray Vander Laan

Monday evening Bible Study meets at Alive to journey with Ray Vander Laan through his video series titled "That the World May Know".  Each week Ray takes us to a new location in the Holy Land for a faith lesson for us today by bringing to life the ancient times of the Bible.  The faith lessons are new and unique each week, making it easy to join at any time.  Join us for friendly fellowship, thoughtful discussions, and purposeful prayer.

 

WEDNESDAYS

WOMEN’S SMALL GROUP

Meets every Wednesday, 9:30–11am in the Student Center
Jesus and Women by Kristi McLelland

Come and join a group of warm and welcoming women at the Wednesday morning Women’s Bible study.  We meet from 9:30-11 and begin our time with getting to know each other and praying for each other followed by a time of digging into God’s word together.  We are excited to start studying Jesus And Women by Kristi McLelland in mid-January.  We hope to see you there!

YOUNG FAMILIES AND FELLOWSHIP
Leaders: Eric & Katie Heerspink, Evan & Lauren Sall
Meets one Sunday a month at 4–6 pm in homes
Focus is relationship, connection and meals, kids are welcome

Have young kids? Want to get connected with other Alive families with young kids? This may be the group for you! Our group meets once a month for a couple of hours in a home. We share a meal, great fellowship, and play time for the kids. We currently meet on Sunday late afternoons and would love to have you join us.

Monday

GAME NIGHTS
Leader: Ryan Johnson
Meets the third Monday of the month at 7 pm in the Student Center

Game Nights Alive, hosted by Ryan Johnson, are a time to bring community together in a spirit of fun and fellowship. With a wide range of games to suit every age and interest, including board games, card games, party games, and some classics, there is something for everyone to enjoy! These game nights provide a welcoming and chill space for people to connect, form new friendships, and share some laughs. No need to sign up or commit, just come when you can, and bring your friends!

 

MOMS OF LITTLES
Leader: Lauren Sall
Meets the second Monday of the month, 9–11 am in the Student Center
Coffee, fellowship, encouragement, and play

If you're a mom with kids 0–8 years (older siblings also welcome!), join us for a time of coffee, fellowship, encouragement, and play!

Thursday

YOUNG ADULTS GROUP
Leaders: Jenna DeVries and Josh Mattfolk
Meets every other Thursday at 6 pm in homes; starts with a meal

We get together every other week for dinner (potluck), to enjoy fellowship, and even play some games!

 

VARIES by group

SUPPER CLUB
Leaders: MaryJo Kunz and Lynn Zwart
Groups of 4-5 people who get together to share a meal

Supper club is a way for people to get to know others from Alive while sharing a meal. Supper clubs are formed of 4-5 couples/singles . They then get together to share  a meal, everyone taking part of the dinner to share. It’s a great way to get to know others from Alive and enjoy some great food!
