Core Class

The Core Class is our one requirement for membership. In Core Class, we will cover:

  • What membership means and why it matters
  • How to connect to discipleship and mission at Alive
  • What we believe
  • What is our "membership covenant"?

You will also have the wonderful opportunity to meet your council members and share your story of faith with them! Keep scrolling, or email Pastor Susan, to sign up. Membership—and the Core Class—is a prerequisite for Baptism at Alive.

Dates:

February 24, 10:45-12:15 in the Student center

Momentum Class

MOMENTUM CLASSES are designed to help you learn about your spiritual gifts and how to engage them in mission! Sign up below, or email Pastor Susan.

What is your true identity? This is the question we will be exploring in Momentum. The world around us tends to define us in terms of what we do, what we have and what people think about us, but there is much more to our identities than that! God has designed us each uniquely to represent different facets of His image in our world. In this series of four classes, we will use a spiritual gifts test as well as a tool called the Enneagram to explore how to be our true, authentic selves. Click to read more about the Enneagram.

The Enneagram is a tool that can reveal the specific ways we are held captive to our self as well as the unique ways God intends for us to display his glory and love to the world.More than a simple label, the Enneagram is a guide to receiving the transforming presence of Christ in the exact places sin and wounds make us fall short of the glory of God. –Katie Jo Ramsey, Relevant

Starts February 13, 9–10 am in the Student Center

"What's Reformed?" Class

Alive is affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church of North America (CRCNA).  As Reformed Christians, we share a legacy of faith that extends across many denominations. But like in a language where there are different "accents" to speak, there are certain unique emphases that shape our doctrine and worldview. Come learn more about what it means to be Reformed in this 4-week class! Sign up below, or email Pastor Susan.

Starts February 13, 10:45 am–12 pm in the Student Center
